A6-5350M Details

As of March 2026, the AMD A6-5350M stands as a relic of the early 2010s mobile computing era, having been launched in June 2013. Positioned within AMD's A6 lineup, this processor is built on the Richland architecture and targets the mobile market, offering a balance of integrated graphics and modest processing power for its time. Despite its age, the A6-5350M remains relevant in niche scenarios where legacy systems or low-power requirements are prioritized. Its 32 nm manufacturing process and 1.178 billion transistors reflect the technological standards of its generation, and while it lacks the performance of modern processors, it still holds a place in historical context.

The A6-5350M features a dual-core design with a base clock of 2.9 GHz and a turbo frequency of up to 3.5 GHz, though the latter is highly dependent on workload and thermal conditions. It operates on a 35 W TDP, making it energy-efficient for its time, and is packaged in a µPGA socket with a Socket FS1r2 interface. The processor supports DDR3 memory, with a maximum capacity of 32 GB, though actual performance is limited by its integrated graphics and single-threaded capabilities. Cache-wise, it includes 0.122 MiB of L1 cache and 0.488 MiB of L2 cache, distributed as 512 KB per core, with no L3 cache present.

Integrated graphics are provided by the Radeon HD 8450G, which features 192 shader cores and can operate at a maximum frequency of 600 MHz. This GPU supports up to three display outputs and is suitable for basic multimedia and light gaming tasks, though it falls far short of modern integrated solutions. The A6-5350M also includes hardware virtualization support via AMD-V, enabling efficient virtual machine performance, and supports a range of instruction sets including MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSE4a, and 3DNow!.

In benchmark testing, the A6-5350M achieves an overall score of 4,179, ranking it #1,707 out of 2,060 processors. Its single-core score of 4,113 places it at #1,665, while its multicore score of 4,278 ranks it #1,826. These results place it behind several modern low-power processors and older Intel Celeron and Pentium models, highlighting its limited competitiveness in today's standards. However, it outperforms some legacy dual-core CPUs like the Core 2 Duo E6850 and Pentium P6200.

When compared to the top 50 processors in the overall, single-core, and multicore rankings, the A6-5350M is dwarfed by modern high-end CPUs such as the Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9995WX and Core Ultra 9 285K, which exceed it by several thousand points. Its weakest category is single-core performance, where it trails behind nearly every modern processor, while its multicore performance is slightly stronger but still insufficient for demanding workloads. The A6-5350M is best suited for basic productivity, web browsing, and media playback on older or budget-oriented laptops, where power efficiency and cost are more critical than raw performance.
