Celeron J4025 Details

The Intel Celeron J4025 occupies a niche within Intel's broader mobile processor lineup, designed for entry-level devices where power efficiency and cost-effectiveness take precedence over raw performance. Launched in November 2019, this processor is now over four years old, placing it firmly in the category of older mobile parts that still find use in budget laptops, mini PCs, and embedded systems. Despite its age, the J4025 remains relevant in low-power scenarios due to its 10 W TDP and integrated graphics solution.

Built on Intel's 14 nm process and based on the Goldmont Plus microarchitecture, the Celeron J4025 is a dual-core, dual-thread CPU with a base frequency of 2.0 GHz and a turbo boost up to 2.9 GHz. It features 4 MB of L2 cache and supports DDR4 memory at up to 2400 MT/s via a dual-channel interface, providing a memory bandwidth of 38.4 GB/s. The processor uses the FC-BGA1090 package and operates at a maximum temperature of 105°C, with no bundled cooler included.

Integrated into the J4025 is the UHD Graphics 600, which includes 12 execution units and a maximum frequency of 750 MHz. It supports up to three display outputs, making it suitable for basic multimedia and office applications. The CPU supports a range of instruction sets, including SSE, AVX2, and virtualization technologies like VT-x and VT-d, enabling efficient virtual machine performance and IOMMU passthrough.

In benchmark testing, the Celeron J4025 achieves an overall score of 4253, ranking #1588 out of 2060 processors, with a single-core score of 4210 (#1567) and a multicore score of 4318 (#1695). While these results place it significantly behind modern high-performance CPUs like the Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9995WX or Core Ultra 9 285K, it holds its own against older mobile processors such as the A6-5357M and Celeron N2920. Its multicore performance is slightly stronger than its single-core capabilities, indicating better scaling for multi-threaded workloads, though still limited by its aging architecture.

As of March 2026, the Celeron J4025 is best suited for light computing tasks such as web browsing, document editing, and media playback. Its low power consumption and small footprint make it ideal for compact devices where performance is not the primary concern. While it cannot compete with current-generation CPUs in terms of speed or efficiency, it remains a practical choice for entry-level systems and legacy deployments.
