Pentium N6415 Details

Built on Intel's Tremont microarchitecture and manufactured on a 10 nm process, the Pentium N6415 is a mobile processor designed for low-power systems. Launched in January 2021, it remains relevant in entry-level and budget-oriented devices, particularly where power efficiency and integrated graphics are prioritized. Despite being over three years old, the N6415 holds its own in basic computing tasks, thanks to its compact design and efficient thermal profile. Its BGA 1493 package and 7 W TDP make it ideal for thin-and-light laptops and fanless embedded systems where thermal constraints are a key consideration.

The processor features four cores and four threads, with a base clock of 1.2 GHz and a maximum turbo frequency of 3.0 GHz. This frequency boost, enabled by Intel's dynamic frequency scaling, allows the N6415 to handle light workloads more effectively when needed. It includes a total of 5.306 MiB of cache—0.061 MiB in L1, 1.431 MiB in L2, and 3.815 MiB in L3—providing sufficient data caching for everyday use. Memory support includes DDR4, LPDDR4, and LPDDR4X with dual-channel operation, capable of running at up to 3200 MT/s, delivering a memory bandwidth of 51.2 GB/s.

Integrated into the N6415 is Intel's UHD Graphics 16EU, capable of driving up to three displays simultaneously. While not suited for modern gaming or intensive 3D rendering, this GPU supports basic multimedia playback and light productivity tasks. The processor also supports a range of instruction sets, including SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSSE3, SSE4.1, SSE4.2, BMI2, RdRand, F16C, and virtualization technologies such as VT-x, VT-d, EPT, and SHA extensions. These features enhance performance in virtualized environments and improve security through hardware-based encryption.

In benchmark testing, the Pentium N6415 achieves an Overall Score of 4388, placing it at #1417 of 2060 processors. Its Singlecore Score of 4376 ranks it at #1414, and its Multicore Score of 4405 positions it at #1440. These results indicate that while the N6415 is not competitive with modern high-performance CPUs, it holds its own among budget and older-generation processors. Notably, it outperforms several older Intel and AMD chips like the Core i5-650 and Phenom 9650, but trails behind contemporary mobile and desktop offerings such as the Core i5-560M and A8-3850.

The N6415's strongest performance category is single-core computing, where it ranks higher than many of its multicore peers, suggesting it performs well in applications that rely on a single thread. However, its multicore performance is less competitive, particularly when compared to modern processors with higher core counts and faster clocks. As of March 2026, the Pentium N6415 remains a viable option for basic office use, web browsing, and media consumption, but is not suited for demanding tasks like video editing, gaming, or intensive multitasking.
