A8-3820 Details

As of March 2026, the AMD A8-3820 remains a relic of the early 2010s, representing a transitional era in desktop computing where integrated graphics and multi-core efficiency began to gain prominence. Launched in December 2011, this processor is now over 14 years old, placing it firmly in the category of legacy hardware. While it was once a compelling option for budget-conscious users needing basic multitasking and media playback, its performance today is significantly outdated compared to modern CPUs.

The A8-3820 is built on AMD’s Llano architecture, fabricated on a 32 nm process by GlobalFoundries. It features four cores and four threads, operating at a base frequency of 2.5 GHz with a turbo boost up to 2.8 GHz.
