A10-5750M Details

Built on AMD's Richland microarchitecture at a 45 nm process node, the A10-5750M is a mobile processor released in 2013, making it over a decade old by today's standards. While its manufacturing process and design are long outdated compared to modern silicon, it still holds a place in the history of integrated graphics solutions for laptops. This processor is designed for mobile use and features a quad-core CPU with no simultaneous multithreading support, operating at a base frequency of 1.73 GHz and capable of boosting up to 3.06 GHz. It operates on a 2.5 GT/s bus and uses the PGA988 socket, with a TDP of 45 W, which was considered efficient for its time. The chip integrates 1 MB of L2 cache per core and supports up to 8 GB of DDR3 memory at 1066/1333 MHz, with a maximum memory bandwidth of 21 GB/s across two channels.

The integrated graphics solution is the Radeon HD 8650G, featuring a base frequency of 650 MHz and a burst frequency of up to 1.1 GHz. It supports up to three displays and includes a total of 16 stream processors. Although its GPU performance is minimal by modern standards, it was sufficient for basic multimedia tasks and light gaming during its era. The processor also supports a wide range of instruction sets, including MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSE4.1, SSE4.2, AES, x86-64, AMD-V, and 3DNow!, enabling compatibility with a broad range of software.

In benchmark testing, the A10-5750M achieves an overall score of 4298, placing it at #1532 out of 2060 processors. Its single-core score of 4240 ranks it #1537, while its multicore score of 4385 places it #1489. These results show that the A10-5750M is positioned in the lower tier of the performance spectrum, lagging behind most modern CPUs, even in the mobile segment. Its performance is comparable to older mobile processors like the Core i5-2540M and the Celeron G1840, and it trails behind many current-generation entry-level and mid-range devices.

Despite its age, the A10-5750M's performance is most competitive in lightweight applications and basic productivity tasks. It lacks the efficiency and power of modern processors, and its 45 nm process leads to higher power consumption and heat output relative to today’s standards. As of March 2026, the A10-5750M is best suited for legacy systems, low-demand workloads, or as a replacement part in older laptops where integrated graphics are acceptable. For any performance-intensive use, such as video editing, gaming, or virtualization, a significantly newer platform is required.
