E1-6010 Details

As of March 2026, the AMD E1-6010 sits at the lower end of the performance spectrum, representing a legacy mobile processor from the early 2010s. Launched in April 2014, it belongs to AMD's E1 lineup, built on the Beema microarchitecture and manufactured by GlobalFoundries using a 28 nm process. Despite its age, the E1-6010 maintains relevance in niche scenarios where power efficiency and basic computing tasks are prioritized over raw performance.

The processor features two cores and two threads, operating at a base frequency of 1.35 GHz with a locked multiplier, which limits overclocking potential. It integrates the Radeon R2 Graphics GPU, capable of handling basic graphics and video playback, though it lacks support for modern gaming or GPU-intensive applications. The chip is packaged in a BGA769 format and fits into Socket FT3, designed for compact mobile devices. With a TDP of just 10 W, the E1-6010 emphasizes energy efficiency, making it suitable for ultra-low-power laptops and embedded systems.

Memory support includes DDR3 with a single-channel interface and a maximum rated speed of 1333 MT/s, contributing to modest memory bandwidth of 10.7 GB/s. The cache hierarchy consists of 61 KiB of L1 cache and 954 KiB of L2 cache, which, while adequate for its intended use, restricts performance in memory-heavy workloads. The processor supports a range of instruction sets, including AVX, AES, and AMD-V, enabling basic virtualization and encryption tasks.

In benchmark testing, the E1-6010 achieves an overall score of 4022, ranking 1866th out of 2060 processors. It scores 3865 in single-core and 4257 in multicore performance, placing it behind a variety of older and newer low-power CPUs. Its single-core performance is notably stronger than its multicore capabilities, suggesting that it performs better in applications relying on thread efficiency rather than parallel processing. While it outperforms some Atom and Celeron variants, it falls significantly short of modern processors, especially in the top-tier segment.

Given its age and performance level, the E1-6010 is best suited for basic computing tasks such as web browsing, office applications, and media playback in entry-level laptops. It is not suitable for gaming, content creation, or demanding software. However, its low power consumption and integrated graphics make it a viable option for lightweight, long-lasting mobile devices where energy efficiency is critical.
