E-350 Details

As of March 2026, the AMD E-350 remains a relic of early 2010s mobile computing, representing a design philosophy focused on power efficiency over raw performance. Launched in January 2011, this processor is built on AMD's 65 nm process and features the Zacate microarchitecture, which was part of AMD's effort to deliver integrated computing solutions for ultra-low-power devices. Despite its age, the E-350 still holds a presence in niche markets where low power consumption and basic computing tasks are prioritized over modern performance demands.

The E-350 is a dual-core mobile processor with a base clock of 1.73 GHz and a turbo frequency of 1.86 GHz. It operates at a TDP of just 31 W, making it suitable for compact systems and netbooks. Each core includes 512 KB of L2 cache, contributing to a total of 1.024 MB, while the L1 cache measures 0.061 MB. It supports DDR3L 1066 memory through a single-channel interface, with a maximum memory capacity of 8 GB and a bandwidth of 21.3 GB/s. The processor uses the PPGA478 socket, a legacy interface that underscores its outdated nature.

Integrated graphics are provided by the Radeon HD 6310 GPU, which runs at a base frequency of 313 MHz and can burst up to 756 MHz. This GPU supports up to two displays and is capable of handling light multimedia tasks, but it lacks the computational power for modern gaming or video editing. The E-350 also includes a range of instruction set extensions such as SSE, AVX2, AES, and AMD-V, enabling basic virtualization and encryption support.

In benchmark testing, the E-350 scores 3764 overall, placing it #2030 out of 2060 processors in the database. Its single-core score is 3453 (#2028), and its multicore score is 4231 (#1956). These results place it behind many modern low-power processors, including the Intel Celeron N2808 and the AMD A6-9500E, which both outperform it in both single and multi-threaded workloads. The E-350's weakest performance category is single-core, where it trails significantly behind contemporary mobile CPUs and even some early 2010s models.

While the E-350 was competitive in its time for basic office work, web browsing, and media playback, its performance is now severely limited by modern software requirements. It is best suited for legacy systems, embedded applications, or as a replacement in devices where power efficiency and cost are more important than performance. For users seeking modern computing capabilities, the E-350 is no longer a viable option.
