Reddit User Gets $1,000 AMD PC Build for $87 – Newegg Accepts Pricing Error

An unusual pricing error at a major online retailer has sparked widespread attention: A Reddit user managed to acquire a high-end AMD PC build for just $87—far below its usual price of around $1,000. The bundle included a Ryzen 5 7600X processor, 32 GB of DDR5 RAM, and an AM5 motherboard—components that are highly sought after for performance and future compatibility. The glitch occurred in Newegg’s configurator, a tool that allows customers to design their own PC builds. As a result, numerous users were able to place orders at the erroneous price before the issue was detected and corrected.
