Widely Covered
ASUS has unveiled the TUF Gaming B850I WiFi Neo, marking the first Mini-ITX motherboard in the TUF Gaming series and a significant expansion for compact gaming systems. Built on the B850 chipset and designed for AMD’s AM5 socket, the motherboard supports Ryzen 7000, 8000, and 9000 series processors, offering a robust foundation for high-performance builds. Despite its compact size, the B850I WiFi Neo delivers advanced features such as DDR5 memory support up to 9.600 MT/s, a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, and a 2.5 Gbit/s LAN port. It also includes USB-C ports with 20 Gbit/s speeds and an M.2 slot supporting PCIe 4.0, making it suitable for modern gaming and productivity applications. While it serves as a more affordable alternative to ASUS’s premium ROG line, the board features fewer VRM phases and reduced power delivery, which may limit its performance under extreme overclocking or sustained workloads. The launch of the B850I WiFi Neo represents a milestone for the TUF Gaming series, which previously focused on larger form factors, and opens new possibilities for users seeking reliable, high-performance mini-ITX systems without compromising on essential features.
