AMD unveiled a significant update to its memory standards at Computex 2026: the EXPO 1.2 Ultra Low Latency (ULL) profile. This new specification aims to further optimize DDR5 memory timings for AM5 Ryzen processors, providing an official solution for enthusiasts seeking maximum performance. The ULL profile promises up to a 13% increase in average frame rates compared to the basic JEDEC standard. Additionally, a performance boost of up to 4% over conventional EXPO modules is expected, highlighting a focus on tighter timings and reduced latency. Certified memory kits from leading manufacturers are scheduled to be available starting in June 2026, allowing users to easily activate these optimizations without manual overclocking.
