Expected to hit the market as early as May, the devices will leverage a close hardware integration with MediaTek, with the standard model likely featuring the Dimensity 8500 chipset and the Pro version utilizing the high-performance Dimensity 9500.
A primary focus of this new generation is power management. While the base model is rumored to feature a substantial 6,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging, the Pro model pushes boundaries further, potentially offering a capacity of up to 7,000mAh. This would represent a significant leap over its predecessors, setting new standards for battery life within this product category.
In terms of photography, Xiaomi continues its strategic partnership with Leica. Both models are expected to be equipped with a Leica-optimized triple camera system, highlighted by a 5x optical zoom lens. Coupled with 12GB of RAM and the latest Android 16 operating system, the series positions itself as a powerhouse alternative in the premium smartphone segment.
The pricing strategy suggests a competitive approach to the market. The Xiaomi 17T is anticipated to start at 749 Euros, while the Pro version is expected to be priced around 999 Euros. To appeal to a wide range of consumers, the devices are slated to be available in three different color options.
