Rockstar Games Confirms Cyberattack: GTA 6 Unaffected, but Data Stolen

Widely Covered

Rockstar Games has confirmed a cyberattack carried out by the ShinyHunters group, which exploited a security vulnerability at Anodot.com, a third-party vendor. The attackers gained access to the company’s cloud servers through authentication tokens for Snowflake services, allowing them to access certain corporate data. Rockstar confirmed that only a limited amount of non-critical business data, including financial information, was compromised, with no impact on player data or development materials for GTA 6. The company emphasized that the incident did not disrupt operations or affect players.
