To ensure broad manufacturing capabilities and diverse design options, Google has partnered with major hardware manufacturers including Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, and Lenovo. These laptops are expected to feature high-quality materials, such as aluminum chassis, aiming to elevate the brand's perception from simple web-centric devices to powerful, everyday productivity tools.
The hardware powering these new notebooks will be supplied by a coalition of leading semiconductor companies. Intel is set to provide its processors based on the newly announced 'Wildcat Lake' architecture, bringing advanced performance and efficiency features to the device lineup. In addition to Intel, Google has confirmed that both Qualcomm and MediaTek will also supply chips for the Googlebook series, allowing for varied configurations that cater to different user needs and battery life requirements.
